| I built the car with a Shelby hood scoop and 'R' apron with bumper. I used a '66 grille instead of the '65 because I like the horizontal slats of the '66 more than the honeycomb '65. The quarter emblems have been deleted. The front fender antenna was removed, and a power antenna was installed in the passenger rear quarter. Finally, I painted the body with Indigo Blue in a basecoat/clearcoat system. I took an auto-body class at a local community college. Tuition was very cheap, and they had all the air-tools and welders I'd need for the project. I'd highly recommend a class like this for someone interested in doing a first paint job. |
